Obituary of Barbara Jean Nunley

Ms. Barbara Jean Nunley, age 81, of Tracy City, Tennessee, passed away ,at her residence surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, September 18, 2020. Born to the late James and Flora Roberts, on June 16, 1939, “Barbara Jean” will forever be remembered as a devoted, loving, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Plainview Community Church of Tracy City. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, Barney Nunley; her stepfather, Frank Patrick; one daughter, Barbara Denise Nunley; brother, David Patrick and sister Emma Lee Roberts. She is survived by three sons, Rick Nunley, Danny Nunley and Mike (Shasta) Nunley; two daughters, Debbie (Ricky) Sanders and Christy (Stacy) Shrum; two brothers, James Henry Roberts, Jr. and Emerson “Skip” Roberts; one sister, Fay Cannon; seven grandchildren, Brian Nunley, Derrick (Ashley) Nunley, Andy (Ashley) Sanders, Cassie Shrum, Dixie Nunley, Bryson Shrum and Jaxon Nunley and three great grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Cumberland Funeral Home- Tracy City, Tennessee on Sunday, September 20 from 2-8PM. Funeral services will be held in the Foster-Lay Chapel on Monday, September 21, 2020 at 12PM Noon, with Brothers Ralph Shrum and Larry Campbell officiating. Immediate internment will be held following the funeral services at Coalmont Cemetery.
