Mrs. Alma P. Hawes age 85 of Tracy City passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011 at her residence. She was a daughter of the late Ora Lee Stewart and Bonnie Jackson Stewart and was preceded in death by her husband, Alvis Hawes, Sr.; brothers Ora Lee Stewart, Billy Joe Stewart and John Stewart; sisters Elizabeth Miller and Molly "Dimple" Brown.
Survivors include sons Donnie Barnes, LaFayette, Tennessee, Charles Randall (Cheryl) Woods, Christiana, Tennessee and Alvis (Rosie) Hawes, Jr., Tracy City, Tennessee; daughters Barbara (Richard) Jones, Bridgeport, Alabama, Myra Lynn (Robert) McCallum, Elk Grove Village, Illinois and Donna Belinda (William) Beringer, Skokie, Illinois; brother Kenneth Stewart, North Carolina; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Clayton Jones officiating. Burial will be Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee. The family will receive friends 5-9 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Online condolences and register book @ www.fosterlayfuneralhome.net.
