Bill Keller was a deeply caring Christian who went out of his way to help people in need. He was a great husband to Isabel and a wonderful protector and guide for all of his children. I think the word "devoted" in all of its applications describes him best. I was also always impressed by his many-faceted abilities -- in construction, renovation, repairs, landscaping, housekeeping, and community advocacy, someone not afraid to be called a "servant." He will be missed by Sewanee, Tullahoma, Winchester, Monteagle, Middle Tennessee in general --- as well as by his large family. While his wife, Isabel, and I were co-authoring a book, he provided readings and valuable suggestions for content and editing. Bill was a man who welcomed engagement with others, and he befriended nearly everyone on "The Mountain." Where others failed in optimism, he offered cheer at any meeting, personal or organizational. "Deliverance belongs to the Lord," and we thank God Bill has been delivered. May he Rest In Peace.
