Obituary of Lelar Mae Pierce

Lelar Mae” PeeWee” Pierce, age 70, of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away on Saturday September 12, 2020 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was born February 24, 1950 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to the late Harry and Rita Mae Wilburn. She is also preceded in death by her grandson, Marcus Nunley and granddaughter, Lynn King. She was a strong women, some say a warrior or backbone of her family, taking care of everyone and loving them with all she had. She loved spending time with her family making as many memories as she could with them along the years. She also loved the Lord and loved teaching Sunday school. Lelar is survived by her son, Ken (Amanda Irvin) Nunley; daughters, Sandra (Richard) Homebaker, and Susan Nunley Sitz; sister, Evelyn Toxey; grandchildren, Amber Nunley, Charlie Nunley, Kenneth Nunley, Hunter Nunley, Harley Nunley, Andrea Nunley, Areona Nunley, Dragon Nunley, Rick Homebaker, Morgan Sitz, Kaeden Sitz, Madison Sitz, and Gracelyn Sitz; great grandchildren, Edsel, Damion, Ariel, Kaylee, Nevaeh, CJ, Dante, Isabella, Elizabeth, Molly, and Victoria; along with several nieces and nephews. The family ask in lieu of flowers please make donations to the funeral home to help pay for funeral expenses. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM in the Foster and Lay Chapel with Brother Terry Winton officiating. Burial immediately following at the family cemetery.
