Obituary of Mamie Florene Nunley

Mamie F. Nunley, age 83, passed away peacefully at her home in Winchester, Tennessee, on July 13, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, James William and Florence Laurene Yates Campbell, her husband Reverend Robert Eugene “Gene” Nunley, her son Terry Eugene Nunley, and her brother Billy Eugene Campbell.
After retiring from the US Postal Service, she moved from Sewanee to Winchester where she was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church, teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir, and encouraging people of all ages who participated in the church music programs.
Although rejoicing that she has joined her family and her Father in Heaven, she will be greatly missed by sons William Ken (Donna) Nunley of Sewanee, and Donald (Lorie) Nunley of Winchester, daughter-in-law Crysty Cross Nunley of Lebanon, her grandchildren Timothy and Tracy Nunley of Lebanon, and Kaitlyn Nunley of Winchester, her great-grandchildren McKenzie Carlton, Kerrigan Beale of Lebanon, and Zander Dailey of Hendersonville, and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Eastern Star Cemetery in Sewanee, Tennessee, on Sunday, July 19, 2020, at 3pm.
