Obituary of Faye Coppinger

Mrs. Alice "Faye" Coppinger, 76, passed away June 26, 2020 at Saint Thomas Mid Town Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born in Tracy City, Tennessee on April 20, 1944. Faye, Momma, Granny, Ma Faye and George were married for 59 years. When you came to their house you would see them watching the birds from the porch. If they were in the house the would be watching tv together. They had alot of time to love each other, but for George it wasn't long enough. They raised 3 generations of kids. She redefined the word family.She was Ma and Granny to more than just her own kids. If you came into her home you felt welcome and you never left hungry. Phrases you would hear when you came to her house was "Dip you a plate" and "What's ye hurry". She called everyone buddy and her smile always warmed your heart. God broke the mold when he made her and our hearts are broken without her. The only thing that keeps our hearts at peace is knowing she is in Heaven now. She died comfortably and knew how much she was loved. We wish we could have saw the smile on her face when she was met by all she love that passed before her. She was met in Heaven by Parents Hazel and Roy Johnson. Sisters Neva and Zelma. Brothers Herman, Carl, Wesley, and Doug. Daughter Wanda Lynn Coppinger. Grandson Derrick Keith Smith. Great granddaughter Sadie Anastasia Lyle. She awaits her husband George Coppinger. Daughters Rose Taylor, Devin Coppinger, and Erica Bivens. Sons Mike and Gage Coppinger. Grandchildren Sarah and Matt Lyle, Zachary Taylor, Kiersten and Nazara Fults, Akanthia Bivens. Great grandchildren Dominick and Wyatt Lyle and Ally Ramsey And many nieces and nephews that love her dearly and friends. Funeral Service will be Monday, June 29, 2020, 4:00 P.M. at Foster & Lay Chapel. Burial will immediately follow at Gregg's Cemetery.
