Siebert F. Meeks, 84, of Bluffton, passed away Monday evening, May 25, 2020, at Markle Health and Rehabilitation. Siebert was born on Dec. 26, 1935, in Coalmont, TN, to France and Ethel (Price) Meeks. He married Florence M. Smith in Dalton, GA, on Jan. 15, 1955; she survives. Siebert retired from Stirling Casting in Bluffton after many years of service. He enjoyed walking and going to the state park, was a big NASCAR fan, and was a proud Ford owner. In addition to his wife, Siebert is survived by two daughters, Susan Durham of Marietta, GA, and Sheila (Chris) Kleinknight of Bluffton; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Aileen (Vance “Tubby”) Myers of Tracy City, TN; a half-brother, Lester “Jasper” Meeks of Tracy City, IN, and a step-sister, Ruby Thomas of Tennessee. Aside from his parents, Siebert was preceded in death by three brothers, Claude, Martin, and Earl “Dewitt” Meeks; and a step-brother, Donnie Thomas. Visitation will be Thursday, May 28, 2020, from 2:00 until 8:00 PM at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, May 30th, from 2:00 until 8:00 PM (CDT), at Cumberland Funeral Home, Foster and Lay Chapel, 96 Saint Clair Street, Tracy City, TN. A funeral service will be on Sunday, May 31, 2020, at 2:00 PM (CDT), also at the Cumberland Funeral Home, with Minister Paul Tittle officiating. Pallbearers will be Lester Meeks, Brent Campbell, Devon Manley, Steven McDaniel, Dylan Bean and Johnny Hester. Burial will follow at Coalmont Cemetery in Coalmont, TN.
