Mrs. Joann M. Pace age 78 of Monteagle passed away on Monday, October 17, 2011, at Emerald-Hodgson Skilled Care in Sewanee. She was a daughter of the late Cheatom Oliver and Irene Phipps Oliver and was preceded in death by a grandson, Stevie Myers; brothers, Robert Melvin Oliver, Marvin Earl "Sheep" Oliver and James P. Oliver.
Survivors include her children, Sheila Faye (Billy W.) Myers, Monteagle, Ricky A. (Dinah) Meeks, Monteagle, Clint (Wanda) Pace, Tracy City; companion, James "Slick" Hill, Monteagle; granddaughter, Deborah Myers; great-grandchildren, Gena Lauren Southern and River Lee Nunley; great-great-grandchild, Carter Anthony Southern; sister, Geneva Patterson, Pelham; brother, Bernie C. Oliver, Alto, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Daryl Smiley officiating. Burial will be in Monteagle Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Cumberland Funeral Home, 207 Mabee Avenue, Monteagle, Tennessee. 931-924-2381.
