Doris Emily Hughes age 92 of Jasper Tennessee entered eternal rest Friday, April 3, 2020, in Dunlap, Tennessee. Doris was born on February 19, 1928 to James Homer Graham Sr. and Renice Myers Graham. She is preceded in death by her sisters Anna Lee Harris and Oma Ruth Ledford; her brothers Robert Craig Graham, J.W. Graham and Homer Graham Jr., Father of her children Arville Elihue Roberts and her husband Dr. Herschel Hughes, and her granddaughter Audrey Gail Willoughby. Doris was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper Tennessee. Doris enjoyed a 35 year career that started as an office receptionist in a dental office where she trained as a dental assistant supported by coarse work and seminars. Doris later assumed the responsibility of office manager. She enjoyed her work and the interface with the community. Doris was born into a nurturing and loving family with a mother that supported her love of music. With an ear for music she was gifted in piano and voice. She played and sang what she enjoyed; popular, spiritual and country songs for friends and with her family. Doris took pride in entertaining family and friends in her home with the many perfected recipes served with warmth and hospitality. Doris’s memory will be forever cherished by her loving children, D. A. Roberts, Arvillene Bowden (John), Jean Hill, Jim Roberts, Steve Roberts ( Kathy) and Herschel Hughes Jr, (Anne); her brother Larry (Priscilla) Graham, her sister Carol (Ronny) Gray; 21 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
