Mr. Charles L. Tipton age 66 of Coalmont, Tennessee passed from this life Saturday evening, December 28, 2019, at STRHS in Sewanee. He was a son of the late Tinsley and Margie Tipton and was preceded in death by his sister, Velma Lowe; brothers, Ray Tipton and Bobby Gene Turner. Charles was retired from DuPont in Chattanooga, he dearly loved his family, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was his favorite calling. He enjoyed talking and looking at, as well as driving old cars. He would have wanted his buddy “bull” (a bulldog) included in his obituary. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Kris; children, Melissa (Bobby) Winton, Shannon (Wendy) Tipton, Chasta (Brandon) Nunley and Dakota Morris; sisters, Thelma Gilliam, Sue Collins, Shirley Carrick and Brenda Goins; grandchildren, Kapen (Chasity) Winton, Shasta Winton, Chloe Scissom, Levi Winton, Rylee Tipton, Cade and Bladyn Nunley, Stevie Eldridge and Tera Hampton; great-grandchildren, Elias “The Bean” and Emberly Winton; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services to honor Charles will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Ministers Bobby Winton, John Potts and Ernest Lockhart will officiate. Burial will be in Coalmont Cemetery.
