Obituary of Maggie Marie Nolan

Mrs. Maggie Marie Curtis Nolan, 95, of Tracy City, Tennessee passed from this life Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System, Sewanee, Tennessee. She was born in Grundy County on January 30, 1924 to the late Dee and Mattie Curtis. She is also preceded in death by husband Oscar Edward Nolan; brothers, Hershel, Jerry, Dan, Mitchell, Ben,David Wesley and Lloyd Charles Curtis; sisters, Mary Rose (Curtis) Gilliam, Oma Lee Curtis, Bessie Mae Curtis.

Maggie loved working outside in the yard and gardening in her spare time, she also attended Oak Grove Church for many years.

Maggie is survived by her daughter Joyce Lewis of Tracy City; brother, Alton Henry (Baldy) Curtis (Karen); grandchildren, Sheila Layne of Monteagle, Stacy Williams and the late Tammy of Tracy City, Kyle Lewis and April of Tracy City; 8 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren along with numerous  nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. in the Foster and Lay Chapel with Bro. Kyle Lewis and Bro. Barry Nolan. Burial will immediately be following at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00- 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Cumberland Funeral Home, Tracy City, Tennessee.
