Obituary of Ruth Sanders

Mrs. Evelyn Ruth Shrum Sanders, age 63 of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Wednesday evening, October 5, 2011, in Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. She was born in Manchester, a daughter of Fred and Sarah Sweeton Shrum. She is preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Shrum; brother, Freddie Lee Shrum, Jr.; brother-in-laws, Dan Higgins and Jerry Bransfield. Mrs. Sanders worked as a computer technician at AEDC. Survivors include her husband, Weldon Sanders; daughters, Beverly Ruth (Dwayne) Berry and Sarah Naomi Sanders all of Tracy City; father, Fred Shrum, Tracy City; brothers, Anthony Shrum (Rita), Belvidere, David Shrum (Sheila), Sequatchie, Marvin Shrum (Faye), Tracy City; sisters, Donnie Higgins, Tracy City, Sadie Bransfield, Green Bay, Wisconsin, Mavis (John) Dove, Tracy City; grandson, Michael Berry (Keshia); great-grandson, Peyton Berry; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. The Reverend Howard Riddle will officiate. Burial will be in the Shrum Family Cemetery.
