Obituary of Virginia Louise Meeks
Virginia Louise (Nunley) Meeks, age 91, entered heaven on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 1:15 pm CST. Many of her friends and family referred to her as Dee Dee. She was a long-time resident of Tracy City, TN; her final days were at Northside Nursing Home, Murfreesboro, TN. Virginia is known as a wife, home maker, and pastor’s wife.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, George Nunley & Lila (Shadrick) Nunley; her siblings, Mary May McCrary, James Nunley, Irene Tate, Richard Nunley, and Taylor Nunley; her husband, Vester Meeks; and her son Melton Meeks. She is survived by her two sons -- Stanley Meeks and George Meeks-- and one sister, Georgia (DoodleBug) Knight. Virginia has six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 6th at Orange Hill Cemetery with Minister Mike Rigsby officiating. Visitation will be at Cumberland Funeral Home, Foster & Lay Chapel from 12 P.M. - 1 P.M.
