Obituary of Wayne Dills, Sr.

Mr. Phillip Wayne Dills age 75 of Coalmont, Tennessee rode into the sunset Friday, June 7, 2019. He passed from this life in New Haven, CT and was preceded in death by a son, Rex Dills; daughter, Roberta Jo Meeks.

Wayne was a heavy equipment operator for 40 years in Connecticut, an old time Harley rider, loved fishing, hunting and camping, and most of all he loved his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Cunningham Dills; children, Phillip Wayne Dills, Jr. (Connecticut), Stacie Dills (Connecticut), Anna Cleek and Jay Thomas; brothers, Phillip, “Woody”, Richie and Dennis (Connecticut); sisters, Linda, Carol and Diane (Connecticut); grandchildren Cali, Rachael, Reagan, Nathaniel, Davin, Jacob, Jade and Andy; several nieces and nephews. Also the family wants to acknowledge special friends, Claude Hoback, Leon Christian, Pansy Christian and David Brawley.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday at Plainview Community Church with Brother Claude Hoback officiating. The body will lie in state at the church on Friday from 12:00 noon until time of services. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
