Obituary of William Forrest Wimpy

Mr. William Forrest “Bill” Wimpy age 86 of Tracy City passed from this life Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at his home. He was born in Coalmont, a son of the late James Wilburn and Mary Jane Parmley Wimpy and was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Wimpy; sisters, Abby Jean and Mary Sue; brothers, David “Jackie” and James York Wimpy.

Bill had worked all his life as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of Sewanee Lodge # 405 Free and Accepted Masons for 50 years.

Survivors include his children, Dale (Sandy) Wimpy, Jan Roberts, Sandy Smartt and Debbie Wimpy; sister, Anne Coderre; grandchildren, Kimberly, Jonathan, Amanda, April, Ana, Dima, Micah and Natalie; great-grandchildren, Ella, Noah and Gavin; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Tony King officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home. On line condolences may be made at: www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net.
