Obituary of Glen A. Gilliam
Mr. Glen A. Gilliam age 80 of Estill Springs and a former resident of Sewanee passed from this life Thursday morning, March 14, 2019, at STRHS in Winchester. He was born in the Midway community, a son of the late James E. and Bertha Green Gilliam and was preceded in death by his brothers, Vernon, Roy and Bud Gilliam; sister, Erma Jean Hamby.
Glen was a master stone mason and had built many mountain stone structures during his working life, when not working he enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his children, Lynn, her husband, Jeff Lewis of Dickson and Ken Gilliam, Bon Aqua, TN; sisters, Wyline Kilgore and Eva Fowler; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Paul Tittle officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Sequatchie Valley Veterans Honor Guard. Burial will be in Harrison Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
