Obituary of Steven Sabados

Mr. Steven C Sabados, 69, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 27, 2017.  He is preceded in death by his father, Emil Sabados; his mother Virgina Sabados-Jacobs, and his first wife Martha Sabados.  He is survived by his wife, Lori Sabados and her children; his son, Steven (Michelle) and their children; his brother, Donald and his children; his sister-in-laws: Erlene Layne, Judy Davenport, Betsy Geary; his brother-in-law, Ben Harris, and numerous nieces and nephews and an extensive extended family of people who worked with him, served with him, and lived life with him.

 

Steve Sabados joined the Air Force after high school and proudly served his country.  He worked most of his life in the insurance industry.  When he retired, he moved with his wife, Martha, to Tracy City.  While living there, he became an active member of the community over the years by serving as a Fireman, the Chief of the Tracy City Fire Department, a member of the Tracy City Council, and Director of Emergency Management for Grundy County.  After the death of his wife Martha, Steve moved to Clearwater, Florida, where he lived with his new wife Lori until his death.

 

A service will held 4:00 PM Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Cumberland Funeral Home, Tracy City, Tennessee  96 Clair St, Tracy City, TN 37387.   A visitation with the family will occur at 3PM with a service at 4PM. Online condolences can be made at www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net
