Obituary of Robert Blaylock

Mr. Robert H. Blaylock age 81 of Palmer, Tennessee passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016, at STRHS-Sewanee. He was a son of the late James Robert Blaylock and Allie J. Cagle Blaylock and was preceded in death by brother, Jim Blaylock; sisters, Geneva Pemberton and Lois Dykes; nephew, Eckerd Blaylock. Robert loved his work, he drove a tractor, mowing the road ways and interstates in Tennessee for many years. Survivors include his wife, Betty Blaylock; children, Kenneth White, Robin (Earl) Layman, Amanda Lockhart (Smiley Anderson), Kristie (Jimmy) Scruggs; sister-in-law, Katherine Blaylock and her daughter, Melba (Robert) McGhee; several other nieces and nephews and his special baby canine, "Abby". Funeral services will be 6:00 P.M. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Stacy Smith and Brother Clifford Cordell officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 6:00 P.M. Mr. Blaylock requested that he be cremated after his service and his ashes scattered in his "special place".
