Obituary of Mollie Stephens

Mrs. Mollie Clarise Thurman Stephens age 80 formerly of Monroe County, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, January 12th, at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. Mollie was born in Monroe County, Kentucky on May 31, 1935, a daughter of the late Ruby (Spears) and James Thurman. She was a lso preceded in death by her husbands, Grover Evans and Mancel Eugene Stephens; son, Jeffery Evans; daughter, Sandy Davis; brothers, Maxey, Wildford, Carmen and Jr. Thurman. Mollie was a member of the Church of Christ, was a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include her children, Wilma Smith, Chattanooga, Patricia Evans, Cleveland, TN and Teresa Clark, Monteagle; sons, Harold Evans of Iowa, Gene Evans of Kentucky, Charles Evans of Tennessee and Marcel Stephens, Jr. of Chattanooga; sister, Polly Hubbard, Muncie, IN; 29 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.
