Mr. Paul Ray Meeks age 80 of the White City community near Tracy City passed away Sunday morning, February 15, 2015, in Southern Tennessee Health Services in Sewanee. He was a retired timber man and was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Barrett Meeks; son, Randal Lee Meeks; brothers, Buddy, I.B., James and Robert Meeks.
Survivors include his daughter, Debra Kay (Jimmy) Stewart, Bridgeport, Al; sons, Darrell (Melissa) Barks, Beersheba Springs, Sammy Ray (Joyce) Meeks, Danny Felix (Connie) Meeks, Charlie L. (Cindy) Meeks, Timothy E. (Michelle) Meeks all of Tracy City; sisters, Evelyn Meeks and Ocie Meeks; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Gum Springs Congregational Methodist Church with Reverend Ernest Lockhart officiating. Burial will be in Pryor Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday 4-9 P.M. and Tuesday 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the church. On line condolences may be made at: www.fosterlayfuneralhome.net.
