Obituary of Jerry Curtis

Mr. Jerry Curtis, age 88, of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away January 12, 2015 at Harton Regional Medical Center in, Tullahoma, Tennessee. Mr. Curtis was a faithful member of the Tracy City Baptist Church where, he has served as a deacon, trustee, song leader, and Sunday School teacher. He is a lifetime member of the American Legion and, served as Commander twice. Jerry was a U.S. Navy World war II veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dee and Mattie Curtis, and several, brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Curtis, Tracy City, Tennessee; son, Wayne (Eddie Marie) Curtis; brothers, Herschel Curtis, Alton "Baldy" (Karen) Curtis; sister, Maggie Nolan; grandchildren, Ben (Mandy) Curtis and Dustin (April) Curtis; great grandchildren, Caitlin, Ethan, Lydia, and Emmaline; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Ben Curtis officiating. Burial, will be in the City Cemetery with military honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8 P.M.
