Obituary of Jr. Kilgore

Mr. Clarence Edward Kilgore Jr. age 86 of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015, in Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Sewanee. He was a son of the late Clarence E. Kilgore, Sr. and Theona A. Haynes Kilgore and was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Cunningham; brother, George Kilgore. Mr. Kilgore was a retired educator with Grundy County and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Monteagle Church of Christ, the Sportsman Club, was a U.S. Army veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting & fishing. He loved reading his Bible and reading westerns. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mary Jo Kilgore; brother, David S. (Judy) Kilgore, Chattanooga; sisters, Catherine Flury and Emma Ruth (Morris) Kilgore Roberts both of Tracy City; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday in funeral home chapel with Ministers Paul Tittle and Creig Kimbro officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery with full military honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
