Obituary of Charles Morgan

Mr. Charles William Morgan age 84 of Coalmont, Tennessee passed away at his home Monday evening. He was born in Sewanee a son of the late Garvin David Morgan and Flora Mooney Morgan and was preceded in death by his wife, Ann; daughter, Roseanna; sisters, Annie Foster and Louise Gunn. Charles was a Korean U.S. Army veteran and had been a coalminer for most of his life, he also had worked for T.V.A. and was a carpenter. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion. Survivors include his children, Mike (Elizabeth) Morgan of Idaho, Samuel E. (Lori) Morgan and David William Morgan both of Coalmont, daughter, Holly Juanita (Brian) Mooney, Coalmont; sister, Daphine "Possie" Meadows, Coalmont; grandchildren, Gavin, Jude, Tobey, Derek, Dylan, Morgan, Samuel, Elizabeth, Amber, John and Shawn; great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Kaitlyn and Kaleb; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Mike Rigsby officiating. Burial will be in Coalmont Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Thursday 3-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
